Starting a congregation is one of the greatest privileges of an ordained minister. This charter is designed for ministers who:
- has received their ordination credentials from GUTK; currently active in ministry and is seeking a new church plant (temple, mosque, spiritual center, house of worship, etc.)
- or an existing church whose pastor has received their ordination credentials through GUTK, and desires inclusion into the GUTK ministry family as an independent chartered church.
Growing a congregation is perhaps the very most important step to organizing a fellowship. The term “congregation” simply refers to gathering a group of people together. For whatever size of ministry you hope to lead, knowing how to grow and maintain a congregation is absolutely critical. Depending on your region, this task may be easier or more challenging than in other places.
Remember that to have a successful ministry, you do not need a huge fancy cathedral or mega-church. Start small with home bible studies and expand as you are able. Many new ministers starting off will rent a room somewhere a couple of times per week. This has proven to be an excellent way to build and add legitimacy to your ministry. Be humble and take the time to visit your members at their home, at hospitals, and when the unfortunate time arises, on their deathbeds if need be. In addition, encourage your congregation to invite their family members and friends to the sincerity and warmth of your leadership.

Who May Apply For A Church Charter
GUTK is an interdenominational church as well as an association of churches (GUTK); that welcomes ministers, and spiritual healers of various theological backgrounds who have the sincere goal to teach truth, and uplift the spirits of the people within the communities your ministry serves. We grant charters to those that have answered their divine calling to do Gods work among the people throughout the indigenous diaspora.
Monthly Offerings & Donations
Churches and other ministries chartered through GUTK are required to make a monthly offering/ donation as a base of support for the operation of the administrative office and the development and furtherance of benefits, study materials, and support of member ministries as needed.
Annual Charter Updates
An “Annual Charter Status Form” must be completed at the end of each year to maintain your charter. Our annual charter status updates are required primarily to verify that your charter continues to be actively involved in ministry.
Charter Revocation & Dissolution
Your charter will only be revoked for failure to maintain good standing with GUTK. If your church becomes inactive, you will no longer be obligated to make reports and no further offerings will be requested.
Tax Exemption
If you adhere to the rules and policies set forth by GUTK, your church will be exempt from Federal income tax and your charter will not be required to make application or report to the Federal Government.
